| Roots of Motive Power Location and Contact Information The Roots of Motive Power collection and the Railroad History Project Exhibition and Learning Center are located in Willits, California, 140 miles north of San Francisco just east of Highway 101. The Exhibition and Learning Center adjoins the Mendocino County Museum at 400 East Commercial St. Part of the Roots of Motive Power collection is housed in the Exhibition and Learning Center; most of the collection is at the Roots facility, approximately 100 yards northeast of the museum. From Highway 101 turn east on Commercial Street (one-half mile north of Highway 20) and proceed approximately one-half mile to the museum. |
